The one and only way is the truth
A message for the old and the youth
Don't cover your weakness with anger
The violence of man only shows danger
They touch the body but never your soul
Only God can write upon the human scroll
But if you can get deep into your own center
You will know violence is from panicked embers
From frightened men who are in terrible pain
Then you will feel sorry for them and their shame
May you understand that mercy is not just for the weak
When they hurt you, I pray you turn the other cheek
